#008143;\">2011 &#8211; 2012<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Local processes of in situ conservation and sustainable management of the sulfur hot springs lagoons of San Antonio Nejapa were promoted, as part of the water recharge zone of the protective forests of El Soc\u00f3 and as part of the water system of the Acatenango Volcano.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Actions for the conservation and restoration of the San Antonio Nejapa hot springs<\/li>\n<li>Community actions for the sanitation of the water\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Regulatory and advertising signage for the water\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Installation of filters to clean the water\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring of the water quality of the Nejapa hot springs<\/li>\n<li>Study and design of infrastructure building for the tourist area<\/li>\n<li>Distribution of promotional leaflets for the area<\/li>\n<li>Study for the identification of ancestral conservation practices<\/li>\n<li>Environmental awareness workshops and submission of ancestral conservation norms<\/li>\n<li>Training for community members in tourism and tourist services<\/li>\n<li>Reforestations in the Acatenango volcano closure zone and in El Soc\u00f3 water recharge zone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-fsb-flexible-spacer fsb-flexible-spacer\"><div class=\"fsb-flexible-spacer__device
