Processes were developed to contribute to the exercise of the collective rights of Indigenous Peoples in Guatemala, Nicaragua and Honduras
ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:
- Advocacy meetings between indigenous organizations, CICA and government authorities in Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua
- Case studies in Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua on compliance with the rights of Indigenous Peoples in protected areas within indigenous territories
- Elaboration of the Protocol on the collective management model for the use, management and conservation of natural resources by Indigenous Peoples
- National forums (Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala) for the public presentation of studies
- Regional forum in which CICA presented the Community Protocol to SICA
- Participation in the IV Mesoamerican Congress on Protected Areas and in the United Nations World Conference on
- Indigenous Peoples
- Preparation and dissemination of educational materials
