Advocacy of the Roundtable on Indigenous Climate Change of Guatemala (MICCG) for the Climate Change Policy and Law to promote the recognition of the rights of Indigenous Peoples through the promotion of the Paris Agreements.

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:

• Proposal for the inclusion of actions to the regulations for the National Adaptation Plan incorporating the Paris Agreements
• Development of the MICCG work plan validated and implemented by its member organizations
• Development of the MICCG’s strategic agenda incorporating the Paris Agreements in its strategic line of traditional knowledge and adaptation
• Development of advocacy actions specifically in the National Action Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change
• Advocacy with government authorities at the national and regional levels for the promotion of the Paris Agreements and to address the commitments derived from the Framework Law on Climate Change
